Working With Cosmic Shimmer Mists

I have just discovered Cosmic Shimmer Mists, they are similar to the ‘Tattered Angel Glimmer Mists’ but the mica density and colour saturation is more vibrant and intense, giving your project the WOW factor.

They are currently available in 12 colours; Lava Red, Meadow Lush, Silver, Mango Blaze, Ancient Copper, Purple Violet, Golden Mint, Golden Fish, Midnight Blue, rich Gold, Peacock Green and Aqua Lagoon.
They are easy to use; you just shake and spray onto plain or patterned cardstock or paper. A different effect can be achieved by spraying the mister directly onto a craft sheet and then dabbing onto the cardstock with cellophane wrapping or by scrunching up and then flattening the paper before spraying.

They are perfect for creating custom scrapbook pages and cards and mixing several colours gives eye catching results.

The following examples have been made using the above techniques. Misters used:-
Lava Red, Purple Violet and Aqua Lagoon.

Tim's Technique

Hi all whilst in Birmingham, Tim Holtz showed us how to put sticky back metal on top of a die cut, burnish it and then ink with alcohol ink. We then sanded back the die cut image to create a really cool effect.

I decided to have a go at this technique for my Husband's birthday card this year and this is the result.

Have you noticed my Blinkie from Hero Arts? Cool ehh? If you would like one for your own blog, click this link and follow the instructions. http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/2009/03/02/the-buzz-blinkies-a-giveawy/ They are even offering a chance of a prize if you put one on your blog.
