Always Bright

Hi everyone, today I am sharing a card that I made using some ribbon that I picked up for 75p (about 50 cents) in a garden centre for the whole reel!  I love a bargain and this one really made me smile.

To create this card I took a kraft card blank and embossed white snowflakes and swirls from the 'A Bright Tomorrow' 30-130 stamp set using Versamark ink and white embossing powder. I then took a Fantastix stick and drew over the swirls and snowflakes with Tim Holtz Gathered Twig distress ink to create the shadows, I rubbed the excess ink of the embossed areas with a damp cloth, stamped a tag and then added my bargain bow and a charm to complete.

Talking of bargains, don't forget there is still time to enter my giveaway, details here.  For an extra entry today please leave a comment including the phrase 'I came here via Cathy A's blog' on the Penny Black blog here

Thanks for visiting me again today.
Hugs Cathy

  2. I simply adore those swirls and snowflakes. Thank you for showing us we don't have to make Christmas cards red and green.

  3. Very decadent with that gorgeous bow - love the effect of the darkening around the snowflakes & the brown with white is utterly striking.
