Christmas Walkies

Oh dear, I haven't had much time to craft and so I am sharing a quick card with you today, that in my opinion is less than perfect, but we all have bad days right?  There are some lovely Fashion Girl Christmas card examples over on the Penny Black Blog today so do hop on over and check them out!

Did you notice the wonky brick work....I could claim that it was deliberate and due to subsidence but I was rushing and tried to stamp without putting the cling on a block!!

I have used the following products to make this card  'Rose Garden' 14-003 Mix and Match, 'Winter Illumination' 40-174, 'Sparkles and Spots' 4276K, 'Brick Wall' 40-137 and 'Winter Whites and Greens' 30-057 and Tim Holtz Distress inks Wild Honey, Pumice Stone and Fired Brick. Memento inks Tuxedo Black and London Fog, Ivy Green Liquid Pearls, Glossy Accents, Diamond Stickles, Copic Markers and Spellbinders Dies.

The images were stamped with memento ink the girl first then she was masked and the lamp post stamped.  I then drew in the pavement and added distress ink. The image was then coloured with copic markers and the edges blended with distress inks.  The brick wall was then randomly stamped with wild honey ink and gloss accents added to her boots and the glass in the lamp.  Liquid pearls was added to the wreath to add a bit of dimension and stickles to the star bits.  To get the Edgeability die cut  to curve round the oval I snipped into the paper to allow it to bend.

Don't forget that my giveaway is still running, details for entry can be found here, if you would like an extra chance to win leave a comment at the end of this post.  Thank you to everyone that has entered so far and for all your fabulous comments.

One of my blogging friends Kathy Racoosin is also having a giveaway today with some Penny Black goodies for details on how to enter visit her blog here.

Hope you had a lovely weekend and are all set for the week ahead.

Hugs Cathy

I love the way that you mask your stamps and add them to each other. Very clever way to add a straight cut-out edging. Well done.

Cathy the way you combined all these stamps creates a beautiful holiday shopping scene!

The pavement you've drawn looks brilliant & the brickwork is only noticeable when it's pointed out. Theres so much of interest in this & I love the curving of the border & how it really pops against the red & orange of the Wild Honey.
