A dear friend Virginia Lu will be turning 50 soon, so to mark the  occasion I made her this special card. Recently my Brother in Law had to go to hospital with Appendicitis, and so to cheer him up I sent this card It has all been created on one layer of white card using masking techniques to get the layered effect. Please don't laugh too much at my attempts here to draw a door and archway....but I wanted the girl from Fashion Delivery 4213K to be arriving with her arms laden with parcels. I was rather naughty and treated myself to two sets of Tombow markers last week, I am still trying to get used to them and what paper/card looks best. All this week the Penny Black blog is featuring the new Mimi Fun in the Sun and Mermaid stamp sets, with a summer theme challenge. Today I have used the new clear set Fun in the Sun 30-074 available here. Mimi has been stamped with Versafine black ink onto watercolour paper, then cut out with Spellbinders nesting circles die.  The image has been water coloured using Derwent watercolour pencils
