Hobbling Along

Well life here has been rather hectic, Ren has had a knee operation and consequently is hobbling around at home.  This has meant that I haven't had a lot of time to craft over the last two weeks, but in an attempt to avoid going stir crazy I made a couple of quick cards using up some of my scraps of left over paper and card.

The first one is with a free cover stamp from February's Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine, the stamp is called Bentley Bear - how cute is he!  He is coloured with Copic Pens (YR12;YR0000; W00; W1; E30; E31; E43; E08; E47; R22; R05; RV17) on a small square of cardstock and then linked to a square apeture card using butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch.  I have also decorated the butterflies with Copic pens; these butterflies are a great way to use up scraps!

 Inside of card

The second card uses an image that I stamped ages ago from Butterfly Beauties by The Stamp Man.  The background hair and face has been coloured using Copic pens (V91; RV00; R00) and the butterflies with twinkling H2O's. The dots have been highlighted with a Sakura Stardust Pen and the larger dots with stardust stickles. Butterflies again from a Martha Stewart Punch. Sentiment by Stamp Tapestry and die cuts by Spellbinders & Quickutz.

Cathy, that first card is awesome! Love the scored lines and the way you've framed the sweet image with all those butterflies! Fabulous idea! What a beautiful image on the second card! Love the design and the pretty, soft color combo! Hope Ren heals quickly! Hugs!

Hi, Cathy! Both cards are amazing! I love the butterflies on the first one, and how you repeated the theme on the inside. And I love the colors on the second! Just wonderful! :-)
