Have you been over to the Penny Black Blog yet this week? Check out Monday's post for an amazing video tutorial by the uber talented Jill and then feast your eyes on Projects to amaze by Peet.
The challenge for this week is Tall Cards, details to enter can be found on Monday's post here. I wanted to show you how you can just use a part of a stamp to get a completely different design, here is my take on a tall card using Posy Petals by Penny Black 4151K.
I masked of the hammock and stamped the image with versafine onyx black ink onto white card stock. I then masked a rectangle and added the sky and ground with Tim Holtz distress inks; Broken China & Shabby Shutters (see how to on Jill's video here).
I then splattered the background with water to get the speckled effect. The image was coloured with inktense pencils; Fushia, Apple Green, Shiraz, Mustard, Cherry and Hookers Green. I added some dots and lines to the leaves and petals with a black fine liner pen and then gave the ladybird some enamel accent spots. The tag was made using an EKSuccess tiny tag punch and the sentiment and dots hand written, this was then distressed with Spun sugar and worn Lipstick and stitched onto the card.
Thanks for joining me today, and don't forget to hop on over to the Penny Black blog for some more gorgeous inspiration.
