A Gift Inside & Out

My daughter was shopping with a friend and they came across a cute address book, my daughter's friend was about to buy one, when my daughter said not to as her mum could make a better one! I feel so honoured that my daughter appreciates my home made gifts enough to suggest it to her friend.

So I was tasked to create a cute address book with her friend's favourite colours! The cuteness factor was increased by stamping each of the page dividers. Details of materials used can be found on the Penny Black Blog Here.

The outside Cover was stamped with zen and clear embossed onto thin card and glued onto greyboard, Main image stamped onto white card cut using spellbinders Labels 20, masked and the background airbrushed with Copics,  the main image then coloured with Copics.  The Alphabet stamped and cut out and mounted.

Inside, each page divider was printed and then stamped with various cute characters, they were then coloured with Copics to give a monochromatic effect. Notice the mouse has lost his cake and gained a hand drawn envelope.
The whole project was then bound using the Zutter Bind it All.

Thank you for joining me today, I hope this inspires you to enter the Penny Black challenge this week.

Wow, Cathy, what a wonderful project! I imagine your daughter's friend loves this! I love the way the images inside are left colorless. . .so beautifully done!

Sheila, I have to say if you follow the instructions that come with the binder, it is really straight forward, however when I try to bind the wire with out the instructions I get it wrong, mainly because I don't use it as often as I should!
