Circles Circles everywhere

This week Penny Black has a challenge to create a project using circles. So I needed no more of an excuse to create a circle shaped card, with circular matts.

The background card was cut using spellbinders nesting circles and the edges distressed with vintage photo and walnut stain ink.

A smaller circle was cut from Penny Black Periwinkle Mix and Match Card Stock 11-002 available here, the edges were then distressed using Tim Holtz Tonic Paper distresser and then inked with walnut stain and vintage photo distress ink. The mount was then stamped with Penny Black Letter Background 1999L using Ancient Page Lavender ink. The mount was then stitched onto the main card blank.

A patterned circle was then cut from white card using Nellie's Choice Multi Frame Round Die, this was then distressed with antique linen and vintage photo ink.

A further circle was cut from white card and stamped with Penny Black Daisy Pattern 2642K using Memento Rich Cocoa ink, the image was then coloured with Copics BV01, BV13, BV31 and G21. this was then lightly distressed with antique linen ink and then stitched onto the patterned circle.  A further circle was cut from Periwinkle card and stamped with the sentiment from the Penny Black Enjoy Life Clear set 30-032.

The birds also from the enjoy life set 30-032 were stamped onto a separate piece of card and coloured with Copics BV01, BV13, BV31, Y00, Y15, YG67, G21, E42, V09, V17 and BV00. Stickles was added to the centres of the flowers and glossy accents to the berries. This was then mounted onto the main card image using dimensional glue.

The butterfly is from Stickeroo Romance of Flowers 10-209 available here this was adhered to the main card blank using dimensional glue and stickles added to the tips of the wings. A bow was then added as a finishing touch.

If you would like to enter this weeks Circle Challenge at Penny Black, details can be found here.
