Mimi on the Rocks

Mimi is masquerading as a mermaid today, basking on a rock.

All mats on this card have been cut using spellbinders labels eight.  Card blank cut from Penny Black blue lagoon 09-002 mix and match card stock available here and then stamped with Pointille 3860J. The rock that Mimi perches on was cut from storm mix and match card stock 01-002 and distressed with pumice stone distress ink. The sea was made from tissue paper coloured with distress ink, and the sky was masked and coloured with distress ink. The birds are from the Fun in the sun clear set 30-074  available here .

Mimi the mermaid 4186K available here has been coloured with Copics  and her tail and shells created from fantasy film. A video tutorial on how to do this will be available here on my blog on Friday.

Did you know that Nancy is who is a guest designer for Jill's inspired by blog, is having a giveaway on her blog here, check it out to win the. Penny black circular design stamp.
Check back tomorrow for more fun in the sun inspiration.

Love the card, Cathy! The water look so cool and you did such a great job with colouring. That Fantasy film is great on a mermaid.
