Sun 'n' Surf

All this week the Penny Black blog is featuring the new Mimi Fun in the Sun and Mermaid stamp sets, with a summer theme challenge. Today I have used the new clear set Fun in the Sun 30-074 available here.

Mimi has been stamped with Versafine black ink onto watercolour paper, then cut out with Spellbinders nesting circles die.  The image has been water coloured using Derwent watercolour pencils and Faber Casell Gelatos (sea), the surf board has had a coating of glossy accents.

The sand is from a piece of sand paper and the shells were coloured with H2Os.  The flowers were punched and strung round her neck, and a sun and star fish stamped, coloured and fussy cut to add extra shape to the card. The main image was then machine stitched onto Summer Sun mix and match cardstock 17-003 available here, that was cut using spellbinders lacey circles.

Don't forget there are prize giveaways all this week on the Penny Black Blog, just leave a comment on the blog here for a chance to win.
