Ladybugs or Ladybirds?

I do wonder what do you call them Ladybirds (my chosen name) or ladybugs........let the debate begin.

Here are some Ladybird cards made for my chosen Charity Crumbs, using Ladybug Love 1721K and Happy Birthday 3171C

Here is a close up of each card

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, thanks for visiting me and for all your wonderful comments.

Cute set Cathy! I usually say "ladybugs" but I think I will switch. "Ladybirds" sound much more elegant :0)

I love this cute set of cards, Cathy! I know here in the states they're called ladybugs and over across the pond you call them ladybirds. I do think they look a lot more like a bug than a bird but I like the sound of your version better! :)

Another beautiful set Cathy! I have always called them Ladybirds, until I arrived in the US where more than one thing had to change!
