Spooky things are happening this week!

I have to confess to never having made a Halloween card or project before I began to make todays projects for the Penny Black Blog!

This week is dedicated to all things Spooky, as Penny Black are showcasing the new Halloween Collection on their blog here so do hop on over and see what all the designers have been creating.

Today I thought I would share my Spooky House card with you 40-070 .

The main house has been stamped onto Mix and Match Clear Skies card stock 10-003 available here, and then again onto Mix and Match Summer Sun Cardstock 17-002 available here.  The background has then been cut out using Spellbinders Labels One and shading added to the edge of the card with Chipped  sapphire distress ink, which has then been mounted onto black card. The moon is paper pieced over the top (again adding subtle shading to edges) and the bat from the Halloween Treats 30-078 clear set stamped in black ink.

The house has been stamped and embossed in black twice and cut out and layered over the main image with dimensional foam pads, doors and windows coloured with Prisma Pencils. The witch is also from the Halloween Treats 30-078 set and has been stamped onto acetate and added to the final house level.  Here is a side view to show the dimension

The inside of the card has been created from Scary Halloween (spiders web and 'Halloween) 30-076

I also thought I would come up with a little game where guests picked a little cupcake card, and when they pulled up the frosting it would reveal if they were to have a trick or a treat......and before you ask...yes, Elizabeth I will fix it so you get a trick one; hee hee! Here is what they get to pick....

and this is what they reveal......

They are made using the Halloween Treats Clear stamp set 30-078 and Mix and Match Cardstock Summer Sun 17-003 and Fall Festival 16-002 available here. A pocket has been created in the base of the cupcake so that the trick or treat can slot in, shading has been added to the cupcake base and frosting with Prisma Pencils.  The sprinkles on the cake are from the dot border stamp, repeatedly stamped using stamp pens. The banner has been mounted onto cocktail sticks painted black.

Did you know I had to google the halloween candy to know what colours to use!!! Here are a few more close up images of each cake....you decide if they are yum or not!

Hope you all have a lovely week that is not at all spooky, I hope you enjoyed visiting me and thank you for all your comments they make my day.

You are one funny "ghoul" Cathy! The cupcake sliders are a very clever idea. I love cards and projects that have moveable items. The added acetate with the witch is fabulous on your spooky card!
