Penny Black August ATC Swap day 2

Hi, I am back again to share another ATC with you today. as you may recall, I chose to use one stamp set; Enjoy Life 30-032 and to incorporate a punched shape or border in each of my cards.

Also if you have just started stamping it can be rather daunting to know what to buy or do, so all this week on the Penny Black Blog here, the design team will be sharing cards and instructions to help get you started.

Today I am sharing two cards, both using very limited supplies, if someone is new to stamping one of the first ink colours they will invest in is Black, so I have only used this colour ink. so if you get a chance to hop on over and see what I have made then click this link here.   I hope that if you are new to stamping this has inspired you to have a go, a few final recommendations, buy a good ink; such as Memento or Versafine, invest in good quality deep etched stamps such as Penny Black (cheap ones may seem a bargain but they really don't give such a nice impression) and practice, if you make a mistake it is only a piece of paper that is wasted! Buy a good background stamp..you will be amazed how many times you will use it!

Here is the Second of my ATC cards.

The background has been created on white card using Copic Markers and an airbrush.  I then stamped the tree and punched out a circle in the top corner of the tree.  I then stamped the tree onto Summer Sun Mix and Match Cardstock 17-003 and mounted the white card over the top to match up.  The setting sun was then inked with Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge ink to add depth.

Tomorrow I will share another ATC with you. Thanks for visiting me today.

Beautiful deep rich colors Cathy! The silhouette tree looks stunning against them.

Thanks for the link to you "simply stamped" cards. Gorgeous!
