Hop on in to the Penny Black and Flowersoft Blog Hop

Welcome to the Penny Black and Flowersoft blog hop you should have arrived here from Debbie Seyer's blog here, If you have lost your way or would like to start from the beginning click here, I promise you will be inspired by the other Designers creative projects as you hop along their blogs.  Join in for challenges and prizes!

Not only will there be prizes for hopping along and leaving comments on each blog;  Penny Black will also be hosting a card challenge with a large prize - a guest designer spot at the Penny Black Blog, so get your creative juices flowing and join in the fun and don't forget to tag your entry with "pennyblackbloghop" !

This card was created using -
Penny Black stamps: 'Corner Piece' 3859H, 'Aspire' 3381K, 'Sparklers' 4040K and 'Salutations ' 30-014.  The base card is from the Penny Black Mix and Match Cardstock Range; 'Periwinkle' 11-002.
Flowersoft products: Flowersoft 'Delphinium Blue', Ultrafine Flowersoft 'Earth', Flowersoft Wires and Display Globes.
Step by step illustrated instructions on how to create the flowers can be found at the bottom of this post.
I also created this simple thank you card

Using:
Penny Black 'Rose Garden' Mix and Match cardstock 14-001 & 14-002, 'Floral Silhouette' 3379H, 'Flower Gallery' 30-031
Flowersoft 'Delphinium Blue', and Ultrafine 'Raspberry Fizz'

Step by step flower instructions
Attach a small triangle of paper to wire and tightly wrap around and glue to form a cone shape.  Colour wire with Copics G94 & G99 and cone with B23.  Stamp aspire onto scrap paper with dark green ink cut out leaves and adhere to wires.
Cover cone with PVA glue and sprinkle with Delphinium Blue Flowersoft, stick into a piece of polystyrene to dry.

Stamp Sparklers onto white card with Rich Cocoa Memento ink, colour with Copics E31 & E33. Stamp Aspire with black ink and colour with Copics G94 and B23. Distress bottom of card with Antique Linen and Wild Honey ink and the top with Tumbled Glass.
Once dry add glue to tips of sparklers and sprinkle with Earth Flowersoft, leave to dry. Then add glue to flowers on Aspire and sprinkle with Delphinium Flowersoft.

Add the wire stemmed flowers on top of the image and bend wires to create dimension.
Finally cut oval in card blank (the smallest spellbinders grand ovals works perfectly for this). Add globe and add design to back.

Sorry for such a long post!  I hope you enjoyed hopping over to me today, your next stop is Dina Kowal here.
Happy New Year everyone!
Hugs Cathy

Absolutely brilliant seeing both a simple & a complicated card using Flower Soft. I do love that corner stamp & the way you have accented it with the little gem & done the same with the sentiment. No apoliges needed for a long post - it didn't seem long as I was engrossed & loved your detailed instructions of how to create those flower stems. I've only ever made stems with the wires by themselves but this opens up a whole new dimension.
