Riding the Bauble

Just imagine if we could do this in real life......

it would be such fun! (Miranda fans will be familiar with this phrase).

This card was created using DCWV Latte textured card stock, it was then stamped with the pine needles and cones from the "Winter Whites and Greens" clear stamp 30-057 set by Penny Black and embossed with WOW Vanilla White embossing powder. The sentiment "Christmas Flourish" 3900H was also stamped and embossed. The main image "Little Elf Fin" 40-088 was then stamped onto white card, coloured with inktense pencils and cut out.  This was then mounted onto the brown card with dimensional glue, I also substituted the stamped string for real thread to add to the dimension of the card. This was then mounted onto some plum paper and stitched, glossy accents was added the plum paper to give it a velvet sheen. Finally the whole image was then adhered to a white card blank.

Do you like trying different techniques? well all this week the Penny Black design team are sharing a different technique with you, so do hop on over here each day to check them out...they will blow your socks off!

Edited note: just a quick update; my shoulder is slowly improving although still rather painful, thanks to everyone that has sent me well wishes and cards, you are all so lovely and thoughtful.

Hugs Cathy

The combination of plum & chocolate with white is beautfiul. The aqua bauble has super dimension in the colouring & I love the way you have the image hanging (by a real thread) from the branch. The sheer detail included in this is so lovely. Take care of the shoulder & hope it continues to improve.
