You Drive Me Crazy

I have to confess to not being the most romantic of card makers, but I just adore some of the new Penny Black stamps that have been brought out in their Valentine collection, I love how they have images that aren't too mushy....and can be used for the man in your life!

Today I thought I would share how I made this card.

Step 1: Take a DL card blank. Cut a circle, mask and airbrush Sun using copics Y02 and Y08. Mask off ground, clouds and sun and airbrush sky using Copic B32. Then mask off sky, grass and white road markings and airbrush road with Copics W7 and 100.  Finally mask off sky and road and airbrush grass with Copic YG17.

Step 2: Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink stamp sentiment from  Penny Black's 'Go With Your Heart' cling set 40-043, the string for ballons from Penny black's 'Flight L.O.V.E.' 4229K and finally the flowers and grass from 'Lazy Days' 3782J. Go over grass with YG17 and then use the colourless blender to remove the air brushed colour from the flowers and then colour with  R83 and RV23. This completes the background.

Step 3:On a separate piece of card stamp the car from the 'Beep Beep' clear set 30-092, and colour with copics. Then cut out and adhere to background scene with dimensional foam pads.

Car - G17, G28 and 00, Wheels - C3, C5, C7 and 100, Seat E42 and E43.  Add glossy accents to Headlights and create a bow from thread to added to boot (Trunk for American Readers).
Man - E5, E53 and R20, Hair E47, E57 and E45 R27 and R29.

Step 4:  Stamp hearts from Penny black's 'Flight L.O.V.E.' 4229K several times onto scrap card, cut out colour and layer hearts using dimensional glue. Tip: to ground the image I have glued the bottom of the balloons flat to the card (see close up below). Add Glossy accents to odd balloons and then adhere onto background scene to complete your card.

Balloon Colours - R05, R17, R83, RV23, R35, R85 and R83.
