Kraft and Twine

The Casual Friday team set a challenge to use Kraft and Twine a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately I finished this card a day too late to enter, but thought I would still share it here.

I stamped the rose from Penny Black's 'Love Assortment' 30-090 onto craft card, coloured with Prisma Pencils (to get stronger highlights, I went over some areas with a white pencil afterwards). I then cut out a rectangle allowing the leaves to overhang and punched a decal in each corner.  This was then mounted onto cream card that had been stamped with 'Music Background' 2025M (to get an aged look, I wiped away some of the antique linen distress ink before stamping onto the card). Each rectangle was outlined using a fine liner pen and then mounted onto 'Spring Meadows' Mix and Match card stock 06-003.  To finish off I stamped a sentiment from the clear 'Sentiments' set 30-025 cut into a banner shape and added some twine.

Thanks for visiting me today and for all your lovely comments they mean so much to me.

Hugs Cathy

The rose is gorgeous against the kraft paper. Lovely highlights with the white pencil too!

I love the way your leaves overhang the edges of that kraft panel & your effective shading of them too. The punched corners really provide a brilliant framework with your fineliner edging.

WOW, Cathy! I'm in awe of this card! Elegant and so classy, very feminine! I can see this being used for mom's day or for a special girlfriend as well!
