Carrying the Olympic Torch

How amazing is this, one of my Daughters friends Jacques has been chosen to carry the Olympic Torch, on part of it's journey around the UK.

Needless to say my Daughter and all her friends plan to line the route to cheer him on on the day, so I have made special rosettes to wear in support...and how perfect is this...Penny Black have a Torch Bearer in their Transparent set 'Love London' 30-093.

The image has been coloured with copics, cut out using a spellbinders circle die and then mounted onto 'Coral Reef' Mix and Match Cardstock 15-003, also cut with a spellbinders circles die.  I then pleated some ribbon to create the rosette effect.

Did you know that there is more card inspiration over on the Penny Black Blog this week using the new London Collection, to take a peek click here.

Hope you are all enjoying the week.

Hugs Cathy

What a lovely special idea of yours. The rosette edging is gorgeous & I love how 'official' this looks yet personal. This will be so delightful for your daughter.
I like your soft blue shading behind the image - really making it 'pop.'
