Hi everyone, today I thought I would share a card that I made for this weeks Casual Friday Ribbon Challenge, sponsored by May Art Ribbons, details of the challenge can be found here.
I decided to use some open weave ribbon to create a scarf for Peppermint Polly and some mixed weave ribbon to decorate the side of the mount.
For this project I used Penny Black's 'Peppermint Polly' 4152K, 'Paisley Border' 2399K, 'Sentiments' 30-025, 'Summer Sun' 17-002 and 'Grand Canyon' 03-002 Mix and Match cardstock. The ribbon was from a scrap box - sorry I don't have the makes, Polly was coloured with Copic Marker Pens and her dress over stamped with Paisley Border and Brilliance Rust ink.
Did you notice the cool flower border along the grass? Yoshifumi Ikeda a lovely man from Plus, kindly gave me a few samples of their deco-roller tape to try and it is so easy to use! I love the way it is easy to line up with my existing image, as it is a pen shape it is also easy to control! I used the Flower Field roller DC-016-2. Here is a close up of the border that I used, details of this new product can be obtained from here.
Don't forget to check out the Penny Black blog again this week as the design team will be sharing more inspiration with the new stamp releases here.
Have a fabulous week everyone,
