Creating Backgrounds

I want to share with you a really simple background that you can create using sentiment stamps, for this project I repeatedly stamped the Happy Birthday clear sentiment from the 'Sentiments' set 30-025 using alternating Memento ink colours; Paris Dusk, Pear Tart (got to love that name!) and Cantaloupe onto white card.

The background was then mounted onto a scrap of Navy card and then mounted onto a green card blank.  The stars were cut using a Sizzix bigs die and the circles from a Spellbinders Circles Die.  The Best Wishes is also from the Transparent set 'Sentiments' 30-025 and Brother is an old stamp that I bought years ago at a local craft fayre (sorry I can't recall the make).

Have you checked out the Penny Black blog this week?  They are showcasing some of the Amazing new stamp collection...I have to say as soon as I saw it; I knew I wanted EVERY stamp, they are FABULOUS! Check some of them out here.

Well as Tigger would say TTFN .....(Ta Ta For Now)

Hugs Cathy

I'd not thought of using the word stampls like that at all - brilliant idea. I have one of the PB Christmas sets with lots of words that would be perfect like that. So useful for the male species of card too.
