Hawaii and The Descendants

I couldn't resist making one more movie inspired card for the Casual Friday Challenge here, I also wanted to incorporate the colours from Virginia's Lily Pad challenge here.

So I decided to make a card with a flower that comes to mind when I think of Hawaii; a Hibiscus and as the Descendants is based in Hawaii I think it fits with the red carpet movie challenge.

I have stamped Penny Black's 'Hibiscus'3876J onto Kraft card with white staz on ink and then coloured over the top with Prisma Pencils, to add extra depth to the petals of the flower I dry embossed the reverse to make them puff up.  I then used WOW Pepper embossing powder for the sentiment 'Friendship' 4176H.

I would just like to say thank you so much to everyone that leaves comments on my blog, they really make my day.

Hugs Cathy

That's a lovely idea of embossing the image to give dimension to the flower & I love the colours. I'm going to have to investigate the WOW Embossing Powders which I'm coming across more & more.
