Loving my New Labels!

Oh I am such a lucky girl, I have just got my hands on the new Spellbinders Labels Twentyfive, the moment I saw this die I just knew I HAD TO HAVE IT! So here is card that I created for the Lily Pad 'Simon Says Stamp' flower challenge; details of the challenge can be found here.

I used the die to create the card base; to do this I folded some cream cardstock in half and then placed the fold inside the cutting edge (i.e. so that it doesn't get cut).  I then put through my die cutting machine and then chopped off the bottom curve to make the card stand firm. I then decorated the base with Penny Black's 'Lace Flower' 4241K using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

I then cut out two more labels; one brown and one cream; edged with fine liner pens, stamped the sentiment 'Flourish Thank You' 4175F with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and then mounted onto base card with dimensional foam pads.

A second 'Lace Flower' 4241K was stamped onto cream card and coloured with alcohol markers, cut out and adhered with dimensional pads to complete the card.

Did you know that some of my fellow Penny Black design team members are showcasing their favourite stamps from the new collection, I have been lucky enough to have a sneak peak at what they have created and they are really amazing; to see their creations hop on over to the Penny Black Blog here.

Thanks for visiting me today.
Hugs Cathy

I love this combination of brown & cream with the red & green of the image to highlight. Gorgeous use of the die-cut shape & I like the fact that with the cross shaping it can be used for an Easter Card too.
