Today the design team over on the Penny Black blog are sharing Easter cards, I have had a sneak peak and I have to say they are amazing; you can check them out here.
I wanted to create a paper piece and Copic mixed design and this is the result.
Mimi from the 'Spring Day' 30-099 transparent set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and her face, hair, arms, legs and grass were coloured with Copic markers. I then stamped the image again onto Crafty Individuals Springtime Background paper and cut out the flower, eggs and dress and overlaid onto the original image.
I then used Spellbinders nesting ovals to cut out Mimi and a slightly larger aperture from 'Fuchsia Fantasies' 13-001 Mix and Match Cardstock. I Embossed the aperture with Provocraft Swiss Dots Embossing folder and then stamped the sentiment and cut out with spellbinders Labels Eight and attached to panel with pink twine. The panel was then mounted onto the card blank with foam pads.
Thanks for visiting me today, hope you have a great week.
Hugs Cathy

Such a cute image, Cathy! Love the card's tall shape and your fabulous coloring and paper piecing! :)
this is just adorable...lovely coloring and fun design...
I like the way the twine pulls the eye towards the sentiment & then the eyes go upwards to the oval egg-shaped aperture. The latter accents the little eggs perfectly as does the Swiss Dots embossing the spots on those juggled eggs. Great fun & super rainbow effect with the paper piecing.
