Exercise Blues

Hi everyone, I don't know about you but I always struggle with suitable male birthday cards.  I needed one for my nephew who is into sport and so I decided to use Penny Black's 'Critter Workout' 4253J to create my card.

I stamped the dog and hedge with Memento ink and coloured them with Copic markers.  I then masked off the top two thirds of the card and distressed the bottom portion with Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire ink and overstamped with 'Inspiring' 40-113 using the same ink.  I had a scrap of 'Fern Green' 05-003 mix and match cardstock that I added to the edge of the distressed area.  The sentiment from 'Wishes' 30-103 was then stamped at a jaunty angle using Versafine black ink.

Don't forget that there is the regular PB & J video on the Penny Black Blog today here.

Thanks for visiting me and for your wonderful comments.
Hugs Cathy

A perfect card for a newphew who likes sport. Great image.

I have looked back at some of your recent posts. Your cards are amazing. Beautiful brights colours. Impressive. I will try and stop by more regularly.

The woodgrain background with the green border looks superb & the whole is just a really fun card, especially for a sporty chap.
