Spring Magic

This week the Penny Black blog design team have been showcasing Spring Fling designs here, my spring inspiration is how everything begins to gain colour again as new leaves and flowers begin to appear, this gave me the idea of creating a magic card; where with the pull of a tab the card comes to life with colour. I would also like to enter this in Oozak's first blog challenge here.
Here is my design in the various stages of being revealed.
Spring card closed

Spring card partially opened

Spring card fully open

To make this magic mechanism you need the following elements:
A copic coloured in stamped image of 'a Trip' 4246K.

An acetate stamped image of 'a trip' 4246K and Staz on ink.

A slider pouch, using 'Summer Sun' mix and match cardstock 17-003

Divider card

Add Deco Roller flowers from Plus, and some seam binding coloured with Shimmer spray.

Adhere the acetate to the aperture in the slider pouch
Then match up the coloured image to the acetate image and adhere to the inside of the slider pouch.
Then add the divider card through the slot.

Then glue the two sides of the pouch together (see glue guide below - it is important to ensure that the divider can slide freely free of glue).

Once the slider pouch is complete mount onto card that has been stamped with 'Damask Pattern' 40-110 and Memento Cantalope ink. then mount onto 'Summer Sun' 17-003 Mix and Match card and then finally onto a white card blank.

Thanks for visiting me today, I hope this has inspired you to have a go at making your own magic card.

Hugs Cathy
