Father's Day will soon be upon us!

Ok will someone PLEASE stop time, where is this year going?????  The designers over at Penny Black have  been asked to create cards for Father's day today, so do hop on over and check out the creativity here.
I mean is it really nearly Fathers day, with the blink of an eye if I am not careful it will be Christmas again.   Why does time go so quickly as we get older!  Anyway enough of my ramblings, here is my Father's Day card, the scene reminds me of a bar in an old English country pub with wood counters and deep red carpets with bold patterns on!

The bear from 'A bear of All Trades' 30-108 was stamped onto white card with Memento ink and coloured with the following Copic Markers:- YR30 - Froth, E33, E35, E37 and G000 for beer glass, E31, E33, E35 and R30 for bear.  The beer glass was then glazed with a Sakura clear glaze pen.  He was then cut out and a mask created so that only his jumper was visible, this was then stamped with 'Puzzle Parts' 30-114.

A separate piece of white card was masked and coloured with Fired Brick and Tea dye Distress inks, these were then overstamped with 'Puzzle parts' 30-114 and 'Inspiring' 40-113 this was then mounted onto a rectangle that had been distressed with Antique Linen ink and stamped with 'Circles and Lines' 40-084.

The finished image was then mounted onto 'Coral Reef' 15-003 and 'Sticks and Stones' 02-002 Mix and Match Cardstock using foam pads and dimensional glue. To finish off the sentiments from the 'Bear of All  Trades' 30-108 set were stamped onto white card, distressed with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain inks and mounted onto the card.

Tomorrow I will share with you what I can only describe as a lazy card! so do pop back tomorrow.

Hugs Cathy

I know what you mean about time - it's almost midsummer. Your treatment of that jumper is a real treat & the carpet looks so utterly real with that pattern on it. All the detail you have included in this is terrific & I love the way the wide mat of the card itself serves to accentuate the detail of the little scene.
