All this week Penny Black will be showcasing projects using different techniques by the design team, today is Jill Fosters PB & J video; if you haven't yet checked it out, it is a must - you can see this week's video here. Last week she showed us all how to colour on canvas using pencils; having watched the video (you can see the tutorial here) I just had to have a go - so here are some Jill Inspired cards. I used some scrap calico that I had lying around - so don't worry if you can't find the canvas ATC's that Jill used - just experiment with what you have! Both Images were stamped with Staz On Timber Brown Ink; that way the image does not run when the water is added to the fabric.
For this card I used Penny Black's 'Inspiring' 40-113 and distress inks to create the background panels, and 'Mum's The Word' 4234K for the flower on Calico fabric. To get the vibrant colours on the flower I used Inktense Watercolour pencils. The card below uses the same background stamps but the flower is 'Sunshine' 4235L and the sentiment is from '...Wishes' 30-103
Tomorrow I will be back with more watercolour goodness and tips, until then have a great day!

These are gorgeous! Can't wait to try this. Bought me some sticky back canvas :)
Cathy, these cards are so beautiful! Your coloring on the canvas looks fabulous! :)
These are terrific & really show how different changing a few aspects of a design can make the completed project. I can't decide which is my favourite but look forward to seeing more of your watercolouring.
