The design team on the Penny Black blog are also sharing wedding cards today, so do hop on over and check them out here.
I have made two cards, both using the same monochromatic colour palette and so will also be sharing them in this month's Die Cut Diva's Challenge.
Both cards were stamped and embossed with 'Floral Thread' 40-135, I then stamped several of the small flowers from this stamp onto vellum and embossed again for the second card and one large flower for the first card. (The larger background vellum flower on the first card was created using 'Gossamer' 3865K).
'Puzzle Parts' 30-114 was then stamped onto 'Storm' 01-002 Mix and Match Cardstock and cut out using Spellbinders Classic Postage Stamp.....I just love how these stamps work perfectly with the Spellbinders dies!
The sentiment from 'Happiness' 4185F was stamped and embossed onto each card and some pearls and die cut leaves added to finish off.
I hope you have enjoyed visiting me this week, have a great weekend.
Hugs Cathy

The monochrome colour palette is so classy & I love the elegance of both but particularly the first one with that large flower. The use of the vellum is superb & softens the whole design in each.

Love the cleverness of how you used the color combination in two very striking cards!
Elegant and stunning. A beautiful wedding card and I love everything about it!

Just beautiful, Cathy. I particularly love the first one. What stamp was used for the pretty leaves behind the vellum flower?
Gailanne, the leaves behind the flower are from a die by Marianne Creatables - a Dutch company, I just used a blending tool to shade the edges and the raised embossed sections.
So elegant and stylish! Love them!
These are so beautiful Cathy! I especially love that first one! So striking with the embossing and th leaves behind that beautiful flower.
Just got puzzle parts, so I'm looking again at cards using it. I loved these the first time around. Using the element for the side of the card is just brilliant!
