Inspired by Cinderella

One of my favourite parts of the Cinderella movie, is when the birds and critters help Cinders to make her ball dress, so when I saw the New Transparent set 'Lace Delight' 30-115 I just knew I had to make a card to recreate the scene.

To create this card I Stamped the mannequin from 'Lace Delight' 30-115 with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copics, I then used a Memento Tuxedo Black pen to ink birds from 'Pinnacle' 4168K and again coloured with Copics.  The sentiment from the 'Lace Delight' 30-115 set was then stamped with Versamark Onyx Black ink and then lace and ribbon added to embellish.

The main image was then mounted onto 'Clear Skies' 10-002 Mix and Match card and a border was pierced  on 3 sides,  the remaining edge was cut using a deckle edge blade.  I then stamped a lace strip onto separate piece of clear skies card with Memento Bahama Blue ink cut out and adhered to inside edge of card to finish.

If you would like to see more inspiration using the Lace Delight set, hop on over to the Penny Black blog to see what the other designers have created here.

The shading on both the dress & those birds is terrific & I love the ribbon & lace detail - especially with your delicate edgings on the right hand side. Just classy elegant & beautiful.

I saw this card on the Penny Black Blog...It's so magical! What an heirloom card this would make for a girl who was turning 16 or a young woman getting married!
