Today Penny Black challenged the design team to come up with Monochromatic cards, for some reason I struggled with this one, but turned to the trusty Mix and Match Card stock to make the challenge easier; the card is designed with a light, mid and dark tone so makes matching up colours for a monochromatic card much easier, you can view the colour range here!
Here is my card
I stamped the zig zag from 'Puzzle Parts' 30-114 onto 'Blue Lagoon' 09-001, 09-002 and 09-003 Mix and Match card using Versafine Deep Lagoon ink (this works perfectly with this colour set). They were then cut out using Spellbinders Classic Ric Rac Edgeabilities.
The mounts were also cut using Spellbinders Circles and inverted scallop circles using 'Blue Lagoon' Mix and Match card and 'Plimsole Pete' 3109F was stamped using Versafine Black ink and coloured with inktense pencils. The Sentiment from 'Wishes' 30-103 was then stamped to finish off.
Thanks for visiting me today, hope I have inspired you to have a go at monochromatic cards.
Hugs Cathy

awesome Cathy.... Love the blue gumboots... quite kitschy!
I like the way the patterning of your Puzzle Parts stamping is picked up by the inverted scallops & this looks such fun with the wellies & the sense of water created by the stamped patterning.
