Can a Gelato be anything other than Ice Cream?

Well yes it can, Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® have a product called a Gelatos™that look like a lipstick but they do wonderful crafty things.  Todays card uses these Gelatos™ to create the background to the swirly pattern, more will be explained below!

The coloured panel was created by stamping 'Divine Pattern' 40-113 with Versamark ink onto white card and then embossing with clear powder.  I then randomly added bits of Gelatos™in  Metalic Violet, Metalic Blue, Metalic Teal 770155 and Blue Metal 770233, rubbing and blending with my finger, the excess was then wiped off with a tissue and Voila you are left with this lovely colourful panel.

I then stamped the lace borders from 'Lace Delight' 30-115 with Tsukeniko White Staz-On ink onto recycled transparent packaging and cut out.  I also stamped the butterfly from 'Social Butterfly' 30-116 with White Staz on and cut out.  I stamped a second butterfly onto 'Fuchsia Fantasies' 13-002 Mix and Match Cardstock and cut out.  Both layers of butterfly were then glued together, crystal gems added and then all parts attached to the card.

To finish off I added an SRM sticker from 53002 Hello.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, I will be back on Sunday with a special announcement and an extra post.

what a gorgeous card Cathy. I won some gelatos recently and love the creamy feel and look that they give. How ingenious to stamp the lace onto acetate and cut it out. Must try that one!

Stunning design Cathy! Love how the banded focal point pops against the solid color card base.

This is fabulous, Cathy! I love how you've done the background, and how the delicate lace stands out against the background

Definitely had to smile at the title. The colours are quite superb with the white. The gems on the butterfly really pull the colours to the eye's attention & I just love those lace borders against the deep purple.
