Distressed Effect with Memento

Here are a couple of quick bright cards that  have a distressed look that is achieved using Memento inks!

The distressed panels were created by inking 'Flower Flourish' 40-136 with Memento Rosebud Ink and then embossing with clear powder; as the memento ink dries fairly quickly the embossing powder sticks in a distressed pattern.  I then covered the area with Blue Metal Gelatos® and wiped away the excess from the embossed areas.

The first card was then stamped with 'Lace Delight' 30-115 using Black Staz On  and the sentiment from 'Wishes' 30-103 was stamped with Fuchsia Pink Staz On.  The butterfly from 'Social Butterfly' 30-116 was stamped onto acetate with White Staz On and peals added, it was then cut out and mounted onto  'Fuchsia Fantasies' 13-002 mix and match cardstock.

The second card used similar techniques but the circles of flowers were stamped using 'Wishes' 30-103.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs Cathy

thnaks for that idea of distressing with the Memento inks - I'd not thought of that but isn't it effective & I love the purple you achieved using pink & blue inks.
