Did you know that Moxie Fab run challenges over on their site here, well one of the current challenges is to create something with a Minty Fresh Colour palette; if you want to join in the details of the challenge can be found here. I am also entering this in the CASual-Friday square card challenge, details of their challenge can be found here.
This is my entry
I began by stamping the tree from 'A Wish For Peace' 30-136 with Adirondack Juniper pigment ink onto 'Storm' 01-001 Mix and Match Card Stock; I then coloured some gems with Copic YG45 to give them that minty green shimmer and randomly added to the tree.
This was then mounted onto 'Sea Breeze' 80-001 Mix and Match Card Stock, a separate larger square mount was created using the same card and 'Madison' 80-001 patterned paper hand stitched on top. The sentiment from 'A Bright Tomorrow' 30-130 and a thin die cut bracket border added. this was then mounted onto a 'Storm' card blank that had been stamped and embossed with snowflakes from the 'A Bright Tomorrow' stamp set using WOW sparkle snow embossing powder. The tree was then mounted using foam pads.
This is such a departure for me, as my Christmas cards tend to be in more traditional colours....as you will see in Thursday's post!
Thanks for visiting me today and for taking the time to leave your comments, I really enjoy reading them.
Hugs Cathy

very pretty Cathy. Such a pretty non-traditional colour for Christmas
Beautiful in this fresh color, Cathy!
I love trees like this & especially when combined with the snowflakes as you have. The different sizes of gems add a lovely touch to the tree.

Beautiful! I always love soft blue and green for winter cards, and the stitched frame is a great finishing touch. Thanks for joining us this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
Pretty card and a great colour idea for a Christmas card!
