Inspiration can come from all around us, the other day on the television they were chatting about a new book that was flying off the shelves, and part of the title included the words 'Shades of Grey'. This got me thinking of making a card with shades of Grey with a bit of Black and White and this is the result.
I embossed a piece of white 'Storm' 01-001 Mix and Match card with The Flower and Flourish Sizzix textured embossing folder, leaving the centre plain by using Spellbiners Labels 20 die. I then stamped 'Candid' 4039K with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then coloured with Faber Castell Design Memory Craft® Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencil Silver 251 and PITT® Pastel Pencils 1121-273, 1122-199.
The card was finished off with a sheer bow and a tag created with Spellbinders die from the Pennant set and stamped with a sentiment from Penny Black's transparent set 'Airmail' 30-072 and mounted onto 'Storm' Grey 01-002 Mix and Match card.
What inspires you to create a card?

Very striking & so classy. The ribbon adds a gorgeous touch of decadence & I love the neatness of that little tag & how the end echoes your ribbon ends & the part of the nestabilities shape too.

It turned out beautifully, Cathy! Love that embossing technique! Such an elegant card - love it!
beautiful shades of grey...love it
Gorgeous card, now I have to go and work out how you've done the embossing. So useful for so many occasions.
