Everything is Rosey

Hi everyone, it is Friday and the weekend is almost upon us; have you anything crafty planned for the weekend?

Today I have a gift box to share with you, I think I might give it to my Nan who will be 90 next month! I recycled an old container that had some body lotion in and this is the result.

To see how I created the rose check out my post over on the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft® blog today here. The only difference is that I used the Metallic Melon Gelato™ from the Metallic set 770155.

I decided to stamp some cream paper to cover the sides and the top of the box using Penny Black's Cling stamp 'Diamond Pattern' 40-169 and old rose ink which was then embossed with clear powder.  I then ran the Metallic Melon Gelato around the edges of the paper and blended with my finger to give softer edges that matched the flower.

To finish off the box I used some ribbon from a local gift wrapping shop and the rose was then glued on top.

I am doing a two part post this weekend over at Faber Castell Design Memory Craft® so if you have time do hop over and check out another parcel makeover!

As my giveaway is still running (full details of entry can be found here) and it is the weekend there are three chances of getting your name put in the hat, you can leave a comment at the end of this post or leave a comment on my Faber Castell posts this weekend (one Friday and one Saturday) - please mention that you came to the Faber Castell Blog via Cathy A's blog so that I know to count your entry!

Have a wonderful weekend
Hugs Cathy

This is such a lovely creation for your grandmother - the softness of the colours & the care taken with the details of the rose is beautiful. Thank you too for the tutorial - I found that extremely helpful for I've been looking for a large flower one.
