New meets Old

I have to make a confession today, I often neglect my older stamps and leave them tucked away in dark draws forgotten and unloved.

This is not something I do on purpose, I just get so excited by my new stamps that my older ones get forgotten.  So today I decided to confront my neglect and mix new and old stamps on this latest card.

I took my old fern christmas stamp 'Pine Silhouettes' 3887K and stamped onto a coated card blank with Green Staz On ink.

I then stamped the baubles from 'Hanging Treasures' 40-165 onto scrap card with Versafine inks cut out and then mounted onto the card with twine strings and bows.  The sentiment from 'Hello Winter' 30-141 was then stamped using Black Staz On ink and Liquid pearl berries added to the pine bough to finish.

So at least one of my old stamps now feels a little bit loved!  So nedt time you reach for your stamps why not dig out an old one and team it with your new ones!

Hugs Cathy

Brilliant way of using those baubles & the 'honeycomb' effect is beautifully eye-catching. The pine leaves look super dangling in off the corner. I think that's one of the things that I like about PB - the new & the old mix & match.

The ornaments hanging from the greens are beautiful. Love the burst of color from them against the white and the added dimension is fabulous.

Beautiful card Cathy. Your colors are great and I love how you used the ferns. I do not have either of those stamps, but that did spark something in my mind. Thanks for the inspiration!
