Repetition is the Key!

I have a box frame idea to share with you today; you can buy expensive versions in the shops but this is a cheaper alternative. It is based around the Moxie Fab repetition challenge details of which can be found here.  I have photographed it with and without the glass, in hope that you can see it better!

It is so easy to do, all you need is a 'Madison' paper pad 80-001, the 'Autumn Tree' Cling Stamp 40-163, Vesafine Toffee ink a tiny scrap of brown scrapbook paper for the trunk, White card, Martha Stewart's Butterfly punch, a mount and a box frame.

Stamp the tree onto the white card and add the green hill. Then stamp the tree again onto the scrap of brown card, cut out and glue over the original trunk.

Then punch LOTS of butterflies! Start from the outer edge of the tree and work in a circle around the edge (I glue the bottom wings so they lie flat and the top of the wings have dimensional glue to make them stand up). Here you can see the result after the first layer has been added.

Then repeat the process with your next colour

Keep layering the colours  as shown

Until you have covered the whole of the leaf area.

Finish the picture off with a few smaller butterflies cut from the same paper as the hill and then mount into box frame.

You can use this technique to create flowers and other designs too, if you don't have a butterfly punch substitute it with a heart punch.  These make great pictures and gifts!

I hope you have been inspired by this.
