A Silver Anniversary Card

I am of that certain age where a lot of my friends are having Silver Wedding Anniversaries and so this card was created with that in mind and the fact that I will need a card for my husband for our silver wedding next year.

The card blank and mounts for this card were created using the Storm 01-001, 01-002, 01-003, Mix and Match Card Stock set (it consists of White, Grey and Black card).  The black frame is the waste from the Spellbinders fancy square die.

I stamped the grey card with Versafine London Fog ink and Crystal Pattern 40-162.  Winter Berries 4273K was then stamped with Versafine black ink onto scrap card and cut out, leaving a small white border.  Silver stickles was then added to each of the berries and it was left to dry.

The sentiment from Lace Delight 30-115 was then stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with black powder.  A bow and some heart pins were then added to finish off the design.

I like this card as it is not too mushy and reflects the Silver Anniversary theme.

Hugs Cathy

  2. I love the sheer elegance & classiness of this made especially striking by placing the image onto a negative frame. The white with the grey against the black are wintery in feel whilst & the addition of ribbon & pins gives texture. Everything combines to give a very interesting yet classic look - definitely agree about the non-mushiness & very apt for a Silver Anniversary.
