Christmas Cheer

My Godmother visited me last week and we did a bit of stamping, but I was so busy nattering that I only managed to finish off one card, and then I had a few stamped images left over that had not been found homes and have just been lying around on my desk!

So I decided to spend a day using up bits from my desk and came up with this card.

The bauble from Hanging Treasures 40-165 was stamped twice onto scrap white card using Versafine Satin Red Ink and then cut out (did you know you can use Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments 2011 to cut out this bauble too).

I made a card blank from Storm 01-001 Mix and Match card and then cut a piece of Madison Patterned Paper 80-001 with the Spellbinders Scallop Edgeability and placed down the right hand side of the card.

On a separate piece of Fern Green 05-003 Mix and Match card I stamped Harmony 40-170 using Peeled Paint distress ink, once dry I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Cheer and embossed with white powder.  I then attached this to the left side of the card blank.

A circle frame was then cut from Madison 80-001 paper, distressed with barn door ink, stitched and mounted onto the card with dimensional foam pads, the bauble was attached in the same way and twine added to finish.

So have you got any thing lying around on your desk that you can create a card with, if so I would love to see what you make!

Have a great week
hugs Cathy

The scalloped edging picks up the shape of the bauble beautifully & I love the way the different reds resonate against each other. The White sentiment is perfect with the pattern on the bauble too. I know what you mean about the oddments - mine all go onto a tray & I try to check that before I look for something else.

Love the 3D bauble, and the off-centre placement.

Really pleased to see what you did with the bits you had left. I didn't think they would make such a beautiful card.
