Left Overs Pinterest Inspired Shaker card

Hi again, do you recall in my last post I used the Penny Black Christmas View 4274K Stamp? Well the outside ring was left over, so rather than throw it away I decided to make it into a frame for a shaker card.

Again pinterest inspired me with all the snow wintery village scenes like this one on Penny Black's new Pinterest board, so I stamped Village Christmas  4205L onto Storm card 01-001and then coloured with watered down Design Memory Craft Faber Castell big brush markers Cobalt Blue 143 and Light Cobalt Turquoise 154.  I then added glossy accents to the roof and snow drifts and sprinkled with diamond glitter.  I then cut out the design with a spellbinders nesting circle.

The next part is stolen from a genius tip that Elizabeth shared a while ago on her blog, about using the waste circle from an empty tape reel which was glued to the circle and then some Pinflair Ice Diamond was sprinkled into the circle.  This was then sealed with an acetate circle (again recycled packaging from a spellbinder die) and the frame from Christmas View using Clear Skies 10-002 mix and match card added on top.  To give that extra pop of sparkle I added a ring of navy glitter card which was cut using spellbinders nesting circles.

A square white base card was then stamped with All is Bright 30-137 and embossed with glitter snow embossing powder.  A third of the card blank was then covered in Madison 80-001 Paper and ribbon added.  A separate square of Scroll white Embossed  ep401  paper was added and the shaker element placed on top.

The sentiment was then stamped using part of All is Bright 30-137 edged with blue ink and added to the card, to finish off a spellbinders snowflake was added with a crystal gem centre.

I will be back on Friday with some more Pinterest inspiration.

Beautifully effective - especially with the way you used the die-cut snowflake to accent & bring out the pattern of the paper. The sparkle is subtle yet vibrant (if that makes sense) & I love the circular design placed onto the rounded square with the way you've tucked that banner into the circular frame. So many little details making the whole spectacular.
