I wanted to share some more Pinterest inspired projects with you this week and today I have a card inspired by this snowflake. You can see my Pinterest board here.
I have used Penny Black's Chirstmas View 4274K and stamped with Versafine Majestic Blue onto Clear Skies 10-002 Mix and Match card. I then cut out the centre using a Spellbinders Nesting circle. The poinsettia leaves were then coloured with a Tim Holtz White distress marker and white enamel accents added to the centres and flakes.
I then cut out two Spellbinder Ironwork Motif shapes (S5-059) in glitter card, cut out the centre and opened up each flake so that I could manipulate it to fit around the circle. This was then mounted onto navy cardstock that had been embossed with Spellbinders nesting squares and alternate elements of the flake raised with foam pads. To finish off I added a sentiment from a peel off sticker sheet.
I love how the edges of the ironwork motif look like a snowflake. I would love you to be inspired by some of my Pinterest pins, if you create anything I would love to see it.
Hugs Cathy

Pinterest is great for inspiration when the mojo has taken a break. I am now following you there. This is a lovely card, i love the colour particularly and the way you have put it all together : )
Stunning card Cathy, and I love how you have used the poinsettia image - that panel is amazing.

When I find that time machine I'm packing my little time stealing elf into it & sending her over to you to collect her cousin then they can both take themselves travelling off off into space.
Your snowflake contrasts beautifully with the navy card base - brilliant touch using that rather than the starkness of black & I love that white poinsettia on the striking blue.
A real beauty.
