The only problem is that it took so long for him to empty the jar that the rain and wind means that I can't now use it in the garden until next year!
It was so windy when I tried to take the photos that I had to use a battery operated tea light instead of the real thing for safety reasons and so it does not look as good. But there is always a silver lining...with winter looming it means I can make more over the winter and then scatter several in the trees in the garden next summer, they will look spectacular all lit up at night.
I thought I would show you it in an acer tree, still with leaves!
Then in my big tree that sadly is now quite bare.
And finally a closer look at the jar itself.
I stamped the wide lace from the Lace Delight 30-115 stamp set using white Staz On ink onto the glass jar. I have a tutorial on stamping on glass here.
Tip if you struggle to stamp on the round glass you can stamp on a flat piece of Sellotape and then apply to the jar.
I then stamped the butterflies from Social Butterfly 30-116 with Versamark ink onto vellum and kraft paper, embossed with white powder and cut out.
Wire was then wrapped around the jar to create a handle and extra pieces cut and glued to the butterflies with glossy accents and then attached to the jar to finish.
I think on the next one that I make I will just glue the butterflies to the jar.
Thanks for visiting me today, I hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs Cathy

Cathy these are stunning - love the lace and butterflies, and the jar idea is fabulous... you must revisit it again in summer and show us how it looks :-)

Really pretty jar. Great tip!
Such a beautiful idea, and so fantastically carried out. They would make really lovely presents.
Ren eat more beetroot!!
Quite delightful & I do like those springy butterflies. I could always lend you my Marmalade eating husband not to mention the rate at which he gets through Reduced Fat Mayonnaise jars!!
The lantern looks amazing in the acer.
