Ribbon Christmas Trees

Many of you know how I just love to experiment, well this card is a result of one such day of messing around.  I had some wonderful wired ribbon in my craft draw (rescued from a parcel I received last year) that was crying out to be used.  This is what I came up with

Wired Ribbon Christmas Tree

This was so easy to create, first cut three sets of slits into card to thread ribbon through.

Stage 1 of making ribbon tree

Thread ribbon through the bottom row of slits, using the wire to add ruffles to create depth.

Stage 2 of making ribbon tree

Sellotape ribbon on the reverse side.

Repeat this process for the next two sets of slits as seen in the images bellow. Add a piece of gold ribbon for the trunk of the tree.

Take a piece of Fuchsia Fantasies mix and match card 13-003 and stamp Scrolling Along 3812J with versa mark ink, sprinkle with Amber Rose WOW Embossing powder (this matches the pattern on the ribbon perfectly).

Background for Ribbon christmas tree

Mount tree onto gold mirror card and then onto the stamped card blank, tear a piece of vellum, add the Happy Holidays sticker from SRM and gold metallic pearls to the ribbon and bottom of the tree to finish.

I will have one more Christmas card to share with you tomorrow, so if you have time please hop on back.
