I am not the worlds greatest at spelling and have been teased about my lack of ability in this area in the past, but I thought I would make a card that would be a play on words with Gear (t) well Soon instead of Get Well..... (we call these Gears in the UK rather than Cogs)
I created the frame using the New Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics A S6-001 and Matting Basics B S6-002 dies and stamped the sentiment along the bottom using Penny Black's Kate's Alphabet 30-168 and Azure Staz on Ink. Tip:- I stamp the middle letter of the whole sentiment first and then work backwards and forwards to complete the phrase, this way I have it evenly centred where I want it!
A piece of blue metal was then embossed using the new Spellbinders creative cogs E3D-002 3D M-Bossabilities™ folders and sanded - I just love all the different depths of the cogs on this embossing folder, (the corners were cut off the metal and added to the frame), I then added a few Metal Cogs cut using Spellbinders Cogs nesting die set S4-386 and Nesting Circles S4-116, added some metal accents and drew in the spokes with a gel pen.
I love how these cogs can be used for male cards and the alphabet set allows you to make up your own sentiments with such ease.
Happy Monday everyone and thank you all so much for taking the time to leave comments on my blog.
Hugs Cathy

Great card.
Great male card, Cathy! I love the embossed blue metal panel.
Superbly effective CAS & I love those colours together. The way the gears extend over the edge of the corner catches the eye & the two diagonal strips add a super touch. Thanks for the positioning tip too.

What an artistic masterpiece, Cathy! Love the embossed blue metal & the font of the alphabet stamps is just wonderful!
Fabulous card Cathy - glad I am not the only 'spelling challenged' adult around ;-)
Blessings
