Happy Independence day to all our friends across the pond! Oh I am so excited this week, as the Design Team are collaborating with the Twinery to create projects using both great products. To see what we have been up to this week, hop on over to the Penny Black Blog here.
I have created 3 designs using New Stamps and Dies
This first card uses the new transparent set Summer Fun 30-107, the images have been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with Copic Markers. Tip:- By stamping smaller images in the background you add depth to your picture. The image was then mounted behind a Polaroid die cut frame which has been wrapped with Marashino Twine from the Twinery and then mounted onto a card blank using Mix and Match Summer Sun Card 17-002 and Madison 80-001 paper. To finish off the edge of the patterned paper I used the new stitched borders from SRM that I recently won (thank you Susan McShirley for sending me these).
My second card is made using the new Penny Black Dies Leaves 51-002 and Delicate Wings 51-010.
The background panel was created by die cutting some funky foam and adhering to an acrylic block, inked it up with Versamark ink and then stamped randomly onto Fuchsia Fantasies 13-003 Mix and Match Card, the Magenta Pink Tint Pan Pastel was then used to bring out the leaf pattern.
The main butterfly was die cut twice using pearl pink card and once using pink vellum, the body was cut from one of the pearl butterflies and wrapped with Blossom Twine from the Twinery. I discovered that you could use the waste from the intricate butterfly die to make the word 'Smile' .....how cool is that!
Finally, a house on the hill.
This was stamped with Summer Fun 30-107 using Versafine Onyx Black ink and coloured with inktense watercolour pencils, the hill was made from Stone Twine and then ultra fine green Flowersoft added to give a grass effect. The border was cut using Spellbinders A2 Polka Dots S5-133 and A2 Matting Basics S5-131.
I have had great fun with this collaboration, I hope this has inspired you to add twine to your creations.
Hugs Cathy
