Accordin Petal Power

Hi today I have a first to share with you, my first ever attempt at an accordion card using the Karen Burniston Pop It Up Accordion Oval Die (A special thanks to Debbie Gaetz for supplying me with this lovely new die - and a special thanks for all the other dies she sent me too- Debbie you ROCK!)

Here is how the front looks, I framed the oval with Penny Black Madison Patterned Paper 80-001.

and the Back......

And now for the open Accordion effect........

I have used Penny Black's Petal Power stamp set 30-225 and the sentiment is from the transparent set Special Wishes 30-229.  The flowers and backgrounds were stamped using Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko inks, Memento Bamboo Leaves (for the oval edge and dotted border), Memento Luxe Pistachio, Dandelion, Morocco, Angel Pink, Rose Bud for the flowers and leaves and Memento dual tip markers Tangelo, Rose Bud, Angel Pink, Dandelion, Pistachio and Bamboo Leaves for (highlighting/shading) and Versafine Olympia Green for the sentiment.

Now for a quick how to....

1) Cut two panels from white card using the accordion oval die, ink the dotted lines on the edge of the card and oval using a sponge dauber and Bamboo Leaves Memento Dye ink.

2) Stamp Angel Pink Rose and Leaves directly onto the oval, and the rosebud rose onto scrap card cut out and mount onto oval off - set from other bloom with dimensional glue. (Shade petals with memento markers). Repeat process for Daisy on other oval.

3) Construct card in accordance with die instructions, stamp sentiment and cut 2 more panels from Madison paper and mount onto the front and back of card to finish.

I definitely will try a few more accordion cards now I have worked out how they go together!

Thanks for visiting me today, have a great weekend, hugs
Cathy
