Hi, you can view all my projects today and next week over on the Penny Black Blog Here, also don't forget to also check out Jills PB&J video feature yesterday too!
This week, I wanted to focus on inside the card/project, as this is often an area that I neglect with just a quick sentiment and message. Today I have created a reverse pop out card using Posy Petals 4151K, can you also spot the other stamp that I have used, look closely at the inside? (you can see if you guessed correctly at the end of this post.)
The outside has been created using the same stamp and Penny Black mix and Match card stock Summer Sun 17-003
The outside was created by inking up only the flower part of the Posy Petals stamp, this has then been coloured with Copics; RV02, RV17 & RV29 for the flower, C03, C05, R29 & R59 for the ladybug and G21 & YG17 for the leaves. The petals and leaves were then masked and Shabby Shutters and Tumbled Glass Distress ink were added to create the background. The petals were then over coloured with a Versamark pen and Berry Twist Perfect Pearls added to give them a shimmer. The Spots on the ladybug were given added dimension with Black Enamel Accents. A tiny tag has been punched out and hand written to finish off the card.
Inside
This is so easy to do, take a second piece of card the same size as the outside, score into quarters and fold so that you have a mountain fold in the centre and two valley folds on each side. Stamp the image in the centre of the card and colour the same as front image (mask as in the outside to create the background).
The Copics used for the girl are as follows:
Face E51 & E53 ; Cheeks R83
Dress YR15, YR16 & YR07; the spots on her dress were created by using the 00 colourless blender pen.
The centre of the card was then cut out to create an arch. The inside of the main card was then coloured with distress inks by stamping and masking off the bee, butterfly and clouds.
The folded panel was then lined up to the outside edges of the card and the two outer quarters of the card stuck down (do not stick the middle down). To neaten off the edges, I have added a strip of scalloped card created with a border punch.
Did you guess what stamp I used for the butterfly and bee? It was Magical Mimi 4150K, you can see the full stamp here.
Thanks for joining me today, do check back next week as I have a video for you! Thank you for all your encouraging comments, they really make me smile.
