Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend and for all us Brits enjoy the bank holiday today...lets hope the sun shines!
All this week Penny Black are showcasing the new Mimi Christmas stamps on their blog here.
Today I thought I would share with you Ornamental Mimi 4191K, Jill has also used this stamp today so do check out her fabulous design and video on the Penny Black Blog.
I have stamped the image twice and separated Mimi from her bauble. I then coloured Mimi with Copic marker pens RV19, RV29, RV13, E51, E51, E93, BG49, BG09, BG72, BG75, C7, YR23, Y28 and 100. Her hat was then given some sparkle with Ice Stickles and her wings stardust stickles.
The bauble was shaded using Spun sugar, Worn Lipstick and Victorian Velvet Distress inks (I used masking fluid ont he stars to enable me to colour them afterwards). The stars were then coloured with Summer Breeze and Blue Grass H2O paints and an elastic hanging loop added. Both parts were then glued back together and mounted onto the background with dimensional foam pads.
The background was created by stamping the sentiment in Mint Colorbox pigment ink using the Let it Snow clear set 30-086 and the outline star from the Christmas Express clear set 30-080. This was then cut out using Spellbinder inverted rectangles die and mounted onto Mix and Match cardstock Sea Breeze 08-003 and Rose Garden 14-003. White pen was then added for faux stitching and this was then mounted onto a white card blank.
Wishing you all a happy week, thanks for visiting today!
