Sparkle Butterflies

Many of you already know that I make cards for a local charity for people with learning disabilities, this is a quick one that I made for that cause. It also is for the Lily pad patterned paper challenge here.

I embossed 'Fuchsia Fantasies' 13-003 Mix and Match cardstock with a Sizzix embossing folder (sorry I don't know the name), I then went over the embossed area with Memento Wild Plum ink to highlight the embossed areas.

A white piece of card was cut using Spellbinders inverted rectangles and distressed whilst still in the die with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar ink.  The 'Butterfly' 2585E was then stamped onto Crafty Individuals Springtime background papers three times, cut out and stardust stickles added; they were then stitched onto the card and the wings raised with dimensional glue. This was then adhered to the main card blank, the sentiment is from the 'Airmail' 30-072 set and has been cut using the banner from the spellbinders pennants die.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for all the wonderful comments that you leave, they really make my day!

Hugs Cathy

That's a lovely idea to help others - I did something similar & was staggered to discover how much it meant to the charity. I love what you have done with the butterfly & the papers plus it's a super idea stitching them in place.
Hope your shoulder is much improved.

Lovely card and for a great cause Cathy, I give lots of my cards to Cancer research, I get the cellophane envelopes from my local charity shop and fill them for sale in their shops.
