Even in Hospital there is time to Colour!
I mentioned on Monday that I coloured a couple of cards hospital based on this Pinterest colour board (The nurses actually came and sat in the room and watched me colouring the flowers on the mosaic stamp with my Copic markers).
The first one is using fairy stardust for a birthday card, I had it in my mind that she could be smelling the flowers from the Mosaic stamp.
Materials used: Mosaic 40-101, Fairy Stardust 40-180, Gratitude 30-105, Lace Delight 30-115, A Bear of All Trades 30-108, Word Express 30-106 and Storm Mix and Match 01-002
I used the following Copic colours BG72, BG75, N4, C1, E00, E11, RV10, R83, YG11 and YG63 to colour the Fairy and the flowers and added some Liquid Pearls in Key Lime, Pastel Raspberry and White Opal. Did you notice the handmade washi tape at the bottom, it is micropore medical tape coloured with copic R83 and then embossed with the Lace Delight Border, I did not have the right colour embossing powder so I mixed some green and blue together to get the teal colour!
Here is the second card, again using Mosaic, I wanted to get a softer effect on this one and so used London Fog Memento ink to stamp the main image and then added the coloured design to acetate that has been stamped with the Letter background using Silver Staz On. To add to the design I used the Spellbinders Fancy Square die and I also used some punched labels that my good Friend Mel gave me.
Materials used: Mosaic 40-101, Letter Background 1999L, Fuchsia Fantasies Mix and Match card 13-001 and Wishes 13-103
If you like this colour combo, hop on over to the Penny Black Blog where some of the other designers have been using the same colour palette.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, hugs

Two beautiful card, love the colouring.
Gorgeous colouring Cathy!
Terrific both but the first is my favourite. It sounds as if you not only made productive use of your hospital stay but gave the nurses some bright moments in more ways than one.

Hope your recovery is going well.
They are both so beautiful, Cathy! Lucky nurses getting to watch you color - I'll bet they were amazed!
So happy you didn't ask which I liked best because there is no choosing between these two beauties!
Beautiful cards. I can't imagine doing any coloring in the hospital.
